FINRA’s ELECTRONIC FINGERPTRINT SUBMISSION PROGRAM (EFS)
Fingerprint information can be submitted to FINRA in two ways: electronically through FINRA’s Electronic Fingerprint Submission (EFS) Program or by using hard copy fingerprint cards. FINRA’s Electronic Fingerprint Processing (EFP) enables FINRA to electronically exchange fingerprint information with the FBI, which includes transmitting fingerprints to the FBI and receiving results electronically.

We utilise either Digital Online LIVESCAN submissions from Dublin direct to FINRA or Rolled Ink Impressions for postal submissions.

DIGITAL LIVESCAN DIRECT TO FINRA
Digital Online LIVESCAN submissions from Ireland direct to FINRA. We are partnered with a leading American biometrics company and are therefore able to offer digital fingerprinting scanning technology to digitally submit your fingerprints instantaneously to FINRA.
REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO UTILISE THE FINRA LIVESCAN PROCESS
The information listed hereinafter must be supplied at the time of your prints are taken:
- As a prerequisite in order to utlise this service your company must have signed the FINRA Electronic Processing System Agreement (which we can provide) and also,
- Your company’s Central Registration Depository (CRD) number and full address – you must supply your personal CRD number if you have it. In the event that you do not have a personal CRD number a new one will be automatically issued to you upon submission of your digital fingerprints.
- You must supply your Social Security Number if you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)
It should be noted that under SEC Rule 17f-2 (Fingerprinting of securities industry personnel) under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 requires that a firm may need to submit three sets of fingerprints (which cannot be submitted at the same time) if results are returned as illegible.
LIVESCAN EXPEDITED RECEIPT BY FINRA
If you utilise the Livescan digital fingerprint submissions method then this expedites the entire process and FINRA receives the same almost instantaneously and this is the quickest and cheapest method.
